Azerbaijan Open World Delegation 2015

May 15th – 23rd

Agri-business development was the focus for an Open World program for delegates from Azerbaijan. Activities included a day at Iowa State University, a visit to the John Deere plant in Waterloo and a visit with local representatives to the Iowa legislature and in Congress. In Cedar Rapids the program included visits to Diamond V Mills headquarters, Kirkwood Community College and lunch with the Marion Rotary Club. It was a great opportunity to showcase Iowa’s expertise in these areas. The group included 5 delegates, 1 interpreter and 1 facilitator.

More than 50 club members joined the delegation and their hosts for dinner at the General Store in Stone City to conclude the program.
